Solbot:Energy Rush: Review9/4/2019
First of all a big thank you to the folks at Freakout Games for asking me to look at this. This is not a sponsored review for the record, but they did approach me on twitter to review this, and gave me the PR kit. However, I will not yet that affect my personal view point on this game.
Rules as always: 1.Spoilers are abounding, and depending on the game, can spoil the experience. This one in particular is very story heavy, so be warned going into the review. 2. I will not put aside any bias, but will try to be fair for games I do not like. This is my personal opinion. If you want to send your opinion, please do so in the comments below. 3.I am covering the Android version. I won't enforce Apple products for various reasons. Time for my first mobile review! This is Solbot: Energy Rush.
Gameplay
Like Bladeball Arena, this game doesn't have much of a story, so I'm just going to go into the game's mechanics. The game is one that you typical see on moblies, move left and right to dodge orbs, but also to collect them as well. It's very simple but it's fun at the same time. The game also has a wide array of power-ups.
The one I found the most was fun was the Magnet power-up where it draws in orbs from around you that you need in order to get to the next level. One thing I can say that I didn't like was the idea of going through the number of the next level to get to it, instead of dying if you don't go through that part. That's stupid. The controls are a little stiff, which is stopping me from finishing all 50 levels, but I want to. The gameplay is fun enough for me to keep going back to it.
Looks, Sounds and Final Thoughts
The game it's looks fine for a mobile game, and I do like the design of the and the music is very catchy. Overall this game is pretty fun. I do think there are somethings that can be improved upon, such as the controls, and some perks in the gameplay, but this is very fun to play. Also it doesn't hurt that it is free on the IOS and Android stores.
Once again, a big thank you to Freakout Games for reaching out. I want to take this chance to say I will be Trafalgar Square for the London Games Festable, and thanks to everyone that was at the Game Characters Parade, cos-players are awesome.
But for now, thanks for reading, and I will see you guys next time. Written by Nana Marfo Solbot(C)Freakout Games
