Later Level's Question of the Month: February 2019

And the hero saves the day! - Snow Villars, Final Fantasy XIII.

Firstly, a huge congrats to Luke of Hundstrasse for winning Janauray 2019! I will try and get a bonus post out containing my dream video game ideas, but for let's go with this ideas.

Luke's setting goes to the one place not affected by politics: SPACE! So I think would be fitting for the adventure to be helmed by a person who knows the world of space very well. For a game taking place between the rings of Saturn, you need to have an expert. A person who could survive everything. Or should I say... a robot.

A Megaman X I drew from a reference! But how does he relate here?

I'm not sure how the hero would play if I'm fully honest, but he would be like Megaman X, who has the ability to think, feel, and make their own decisions. I can't go into the plot for this, but I really want to keep a strong theme of prejudice and emotional relating in this game. In Megaman X, for as much as we didn't see humans, despite being a completely different race to them, he still wanted to protect them from mavericks. 

The robot it's self wouldn't look that much different from a human in that setting, just having enhanced strength and speed. This would leave them respected but feared. Also gender is a not-issue here, male, female or gender fluid, the robot would still deal with the prejudice of human, and possibly being taken for granted.

Anyways, I'm going to leave you guys with a monologue I came up with for the character.  It highlights the robots feeling towards the place she inhabits, and how she can deal with death. To make sure this is used to good effect, I will say thank you guys for reading, have a great day/night, share if you enjoyed it, and take care.

Here I have been, for my entire life cycle. It's like I was bulit for this ship. Bulit to protect it. I feel a strong connection to this place, it where was bulit. Or born, if you can call it that.

But it feels like a curse as well, like I can never fit in. Like I can never be really be a part of this team. 

After all, I can easily be replaced. Rebulit. Remade.

My lifecycle is indefiant, unknown. It feels like I every day I have to prepare for the end. When it comes, no body knows.

So, what happens when I'm replaced? Am I remembered... or forgotten? Only my creators know. And the truth... is far away from me. 

Maybe I'll never know.
